I'm creating this blog because it is important to distinguish between capitalism and corporate greed, between industry and excess. We can create and exchange goods and services without destroying our health, our environment and our social fabric.
Simply put, this is ethical business practice. It is almost a mis-nomer to call it 'social business' rather than just 'business'. But Americans lost the plot! Life isn't about maximizing profit, it's about soo much more! Profit maximization has taken over our sense of humanity, our sense of community, our sense of self.
This discussion should not be split across political lines. We all want a balanced budget. We all want good jobs. We all want good health and peacful cities. We are more aligned than we may think about what needs to happen in this country.
The 'system' needs to change, that much is clear. But also, we need to change. We need to shift our thinking. We need to look at what we can give rather than what we can take. We need to focus not on maximizing profit but maximizing life. We need to think of eachother as brothers and sisters not producers and consumers.
This blog is about creating a better world.
